Thai Yoga Massage

Experience a traditional healing practice blending Thai massage with mindfulness, rooted in Ayurvedic principles and Buddhist philosophy, offered to restore balance and vitality.

Thai Yoga Massage is a traditional healing practice that blends acupressure, assisted yoga postures, and energy work. It originated in Thailand over 2,500 years ago and is deeply influenced by Ayurvedic medicine and Buddhist philosophy.

Key elements of Thai Yoga Massage:

  • Assisted stretching: The practitioner gently moves the recipient into yoga-like poses to improve flexibility and joint mobility.
  • Rhythmic pressure: Using palms, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet, the practitioner applies rhythmic pressure along energy lines (called Sen lines) to release blockages and enhance energy flow.
  • Mindful breathing: Both practitioner and recipient focus on deep, steady breathing to promote relaxation and presence.
  • No oils or lotions: Unlike traditional oil massages, Thai Yoga Massage is typically performed fully clothed on a padded mat on the floor.

Benefits:

  • Increases flexibility and range of motion
  • Reduces muscle tension and stress
  • Improves circulation and energy flow
  • Promotes relaxation and mental clarity

It’s often described as a “moving meditation” for both giver and receiver, combining physical therapy with mindfulness and compassion.
